Project Description

The urban strategy for retail trade project was implemented as part of the Strategia Kłodzko 2030 strategy. The starting point for the work was a draft strategy commisioned by city authorities in 2012. The then team of strategists drew the city’s attention to the forward-thinking advantage of the city’s commercial potential over the hitherto default function of tourism.

We developed an analysis of the problems and needs of operators related to traditional retail trade. We analysed the situation of shopping streets and shopping and service centers. We prepared an inventory of vacant premises, their potential and possible attractors. We determined the future expectations of the customers in Klodzko’s trade, estimated the development of purchasing power and structural changes in the consumer base.
